Where is the tournament being held?
Encore 4-on-4 is being held at Mount Royal University in Parking Lot 4 next to the North Entrance, marked in blue on the top of this map.
Where do I park?
The tournament is being held on one side of Lot 4, and you can park on the other side and walk to the tournament.
There is a good amount of free parking on campus beside our event, but if that fills up then overflow parking would come at a small cost, which MRU is discounting for Encore players. You can let the parking attendant know you are with the tournament.
What should I bring?
Good running shoes
Hockey stick (wood, composite or plastic)
Hockey gloves (recommended)
Shin pads (recommended)
Water bottle (we will have a water and/or Gatorade fill station)
Valid ID for check-in
Where and how do I check-in?
Check-in will occur in Lot 4 in the Encore tent that will be set up beside the street hockey courts
Check-in must be completed before you play your first game, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
You only have to check-in once for the entire tournament
You must show valid ID to check-in and have it with you for the duration of the tournament
Where can I find my team's game schedule?
The schedule is posted here
Please note, the schedule is subject to change but will be posted with updates as soon as they are made
What is the format of each game?

How many games will my team get to play?
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 “regular season” games and 1 playoff game
All games, including playoffs, will be played on Saturday, June 23, 2018
How do playoffs work?
Playoffs are single-elimination style (win and you advance to the next round, lose and you’re out).
Will the tournament be cancelled if it rains?
Rain or shine - game on!
Games may only be cancelled in the event of an electrical storm or at the tournament organizer’s discretion.
Unfortunately, refunds will not be given because of the weather.
What equipment can players and goalies use?

Players may use wood, composite, or plastic hockey sticks.
